17.09.2024 நேற்றைய தினம் காரைநகரில் "V.T.Trust" என்னும் உதவிக்குழு அங்குரார்ப்பணம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

காரைநகரின் வாழ்நாள் பேராசிரியர் திரு.வே.தர்மரட்ணம் அவர்களது சம்பந்தர்கண்டி வீட்டில் மேற்படி அறக்கட்டளை தொடக்க நிகழ்வு நடைபெற்றுள்ளது.

கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகம், யாழ்ப்பாணம் பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஆகியவற்றில் கணிதவியல் பேராசிரியராக கடமையற்றியவரும் வாழ்நாள் பேராசிரியராக யாழ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பணிபுரிபவருமான திரு.வே.தர்மரட்ணம் அவர்கள் தனது 90வது வயதுகளில் தனது கொழும்பிலும் காரைநகரிலும் உள்ள சொத்துக்களை கல்விக்கும் சமய வளர்ச்சிக்கும் வழங்கும் பொருட்டு தனது பெரில் V.T.Trust என்னும் அமைப்பை 17.09.2024 அன்று நிறுவியுள்ளார்.

வசதியற்ற மாணவர்களின் கல்விக்காகவும் சமய வளர்ச்சிக்காக குறிப்பாக ஈழத்து சிதம்பரத்தின் மேம்பாடுகளை முன்னிறுத்தி V.T.Trust அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக இதனை முன்னின்று செயற்படுத்திய DR.நடராஜா ஜெயக்குமார் அவர்கள் தனது முகநூல் வாயிலாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

Mr.T. Parameswaran, Dr. N. Jeyakumar, as members ஆகவும், காரைநகர் ஈழத்து சிதம்பர ஆதினகர்த்தாக்களில் ஒருவரான திரு.சுந்தரலிங்கம் குகநேசன் அவர்கள் காப்பாளராகவும் பணியிடப்பட்டுள்ளதுடன், Mr.N. Govarthan Attorney at Law அவர்கள் மேற்படி அமைப்பின் சட்ட ஆலோசகராகவும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

கலாநிதி பேராசிரியர் வே. தர்மரட்ணம் அவர்கள் கொழும்பிலும் காரைநகரிலும் உள்ள சொத்துக்களை காரைநகர் மண்ணின் மக்களின் மேம்பாட்டிற்காக தனது காலத்திலேயே வழங்கி பெரும் நிறைவு பெற்றுள்ள செயலினை வாழ்த்தி இவ்வமைப்பின் ஊடாக சிறந்த பணிகளை ஆற்றுவதற்கு V.T.Trust அமைப்பினை வாழ்த்துவோமாக.

Yesterday (17th September), the inaugural meeting of the “V.T. Trust”, held at the residence of Professor V. Tharmaratnam in Karainagar.

Professor Tharmaratnam, an Emeritus Professor of Mathematics, has served at both the University of Colombo and the University of Jaffna. He established the “V.T. Trust” to aid the education of underprivileged children and to provide spiritual support to temples, with a special focus on the Elaththu Chithamparam Temple in Karainagar. The Trust also includes his properties in Colombo and Karainagar.

The meeting was presided over by Professor Tharmaratnam. During the session, the following appointments were made:

Mr. S. Selvarajah as Secretary
Prof. R. Kapilan as Treasurer
Mr. T. Parameswaran & Dr. N. Jeyakumaran as Members and Mr. Suntharalingam Kuganesan, the Trustee of the Elaththu Chithamparam Temple, as Patron as well.
Additionally, Mr. N. Govarthan, Attorney at Law, was appointed as the legal officer for the “V.T. Trust”.

The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward.

We all pray that Prof. V. Tharmaratnam will live long and do more Good Deeds through his created “V.T.Trust”
